Here's Cheryl Clinkscale's report on the
deck project as of Oct 14, plus pictures: Hello everyone just wanted to send a few pics of the deck.
I am back in Houston now but as of Wednesday the concrete has been
poured, stamped and sealed and it looks great! The west side,
green area, cleaned up and ready for planting. The planter
boxes will be filled halfway and in the spring filled with annuals.
Jim will be starting on the benches and it looks, weather
permitting we will be done by our Nov 1 anticipated finish date.

Here's Hank Dow's report on the deck
project as of Oct 3, plus pictures:
Weather has been beautiful at the lake! As a result
much work has been completed on the deck project, since my last update.
Here is the latest progress:
The new stairs have been poured on the north end of
the deck. Stairs near clubhouse (where blue deck used to be) are
partially poured, and will be completed when stamped concrete is poured.
Electrical and water services have been buried (aka
"trenched in"). Three new electrical circuits and switches to control
the following: 1. New light pole 2. Outlets under seats 3. Lights under
middle bench and back bench. Water access installed at north end of
deck.
Electrician has advised me of a pre-existing buried
junction box hazard that was near the club house which has been removed.
Final "curb cut" or asphalt cut has been completed
and excess asphalt has been removed (this will be the new green buffer
zone). Planter boxes and back benches have been "roughed in" and will be
finished out after the stamped concrete has been poured. Stamped
concrete is on schedule to be poured on Monday and Tuesday October 4th
and 5th...weather permitting. After concrete has been poured and allowed
to cure (3-5 days) a sealer will be applied. Sealer will contain
anti-slip material. After decks have been poured, then benches, back
wall and planter boxes will be completed.
We will be waiting until most of construction has
been completed before we re-install the flag pole (to avoid any possible
nicks or damage).
Just wanted to keep you updated on our project,
still trying to complete by November 1st, 2011.
