Prior to the arrival of E-Scows in 1966, C-Scows were the only adult class
raced at the CLYC. While an occasional C-Scow sail can be seen on
Crystal, by 1993 they had been replaced by MC-Scows.
C-Scows are wonderful boats, requiring a crew of two people in
light to moderate winds and a crew of three in blows. Many of our older
sailors remember well the C-Fleet competition, in boats that were easier to
outfit and crew than E-Scows, but that still required the camaraderie of a
skipper and crew. Shown on this page are the current C-Scow Roster and pictures of the once extensive CLYC
C-Fleet.
