Crystal Lake Sailing School, Inc.
The Crystal Lake Sailing School is a Section 501(c)3 tax exempt non
-profit organization offering sailing instruction to the
children of all ages from throughout the community
from the beautiful beach at the Crystal Lake Yacht Club. Although the School’s operations are independent
of the Club’s, the School has been authorized by the Club to utilize their facilities for the purposes
of teaching students the wonderful sport of sailing. The sailing instruction program emphasizes
safety above all, in an environment that encourages sportsmanship, teamwork,
responsibility and resourcefulness.
The School is supported by private donations and volunteer efforts, as well as by the lesson fees charged.

Program Director—Charlie Yole
Charlie has all the experience required of someone responsible for
managing an educational program dedicated to teaching children of all ages, while ensuring safety in all facets
of operations. Whether teaching children to ski at Crystal Mountain Resort © or teaching
children to sail at Crystal Lake
Yacht Club, Charlie provides students a well-rounded education in an environment
that emphasizes sportsmanship and FUN!
An excellent sailor in his own right, Charlie and his staff instill a
friendly competitive spirit that becomes one of life’s building blocks.
INSTRUCTORS are made up of young but experienced sailors who have actively
participated in the sailboat races at Crystal Lake Yacht Club. All of them have competed in Club races
in both the Junior and the Open Fleets and have also competed in regattas at home and away. Each of the instructors
has completed minimum certification requirements established by U.S. Sailing. Among them, they have
sailing instruction experience ranging from one to five years.
